Courtney and Christopher
OUR LOVE STORY
The night we met at Café Madrid, what was meant to be a simple first date instantly felt like so much more. As Christopher describes it, “When Courtney walked through the door and our eyes met, it felt like it was our 100th date." Our dinner, filled with delicious Spanish cuisine and great conversation, left us both knowing there was something extraordinary blossoming between us. Courtney reflects, “There was something special about him; it was a feeling I had never experienced before –I was enamored from the very beginning.”
Our second date, strolling through Sugarhouse Park with Christopher’s golden retriever, Winston, solidified our connection. Winston, of course, approved of Courtney right away! As we sipped matcha lattes and enjoyed the fresh air of a dewy spring morning, the spark between us continued to grow.
Since then, we’ve shared many incredible adventures together—from visiting California wine country and indulging our mutual love of great wine to exploring Tulum and the Nepali Coast. Christopher proposed on a perfect summer day at Pineview Reservoir, where the love between us was as tangible as the towering pine trees and shimmering water that surrounded us. Courtney spent countless summers at Pineview growing up, making the moment all the more meaningful. We spent the afternoon drifting around the lake, awash in the warmth of the summer sun, sipping champagne and dreaming of our future as husband and wife.
We are both adventurous spirits who find joy in the outdoors, whether we are hiking with our pup or skiing down the snowy Utah slopes. Our shared calling in medicine and dedication to caring for others reflects the values we hold closest to our hearts. Above all, we are devoted to one another. We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives together—moving into our first home, growing in our respective careers, and creating a lifetime of memories.

REGISTRY
As we start this new chapter as husband and wife, we feel fortunate to have so much of what we need already. For those wishing to celebrate with us, we are happy to offer a wedding registry, as well as the option to contribute to a meaningful cause.
We are deeply passionate about brain health—an area close to our hearts, given Courtney's research on the impact of menopause on the brain and Christopher’s work as a neurosurgeon.
In lieu of traditional gifts, we invite you to join us in supporting the Ann S. Bowers Women’s Brain Health Initiative (WBHI). This incredible organization is led by Courtney's former mentor, Dr. Emily G. Jacobs, and is dedicated to advancing women’s brain health.
Your gift, large or small, provides immediate funding to support groundbreaking research. To learn more or contribute, please visit WBHI's donation page.
Thank you for celebrating with us and for considering this special way to give back!

Frequently
Asked
Questions
How should I get there?
We recommend flying into the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), just a 25-minute drive from the venue.
What will the weather be like?
Early June in Utah is usually warm and sunny, with daytime highs ranging from 75-85°F and cooler evenings with lows around 55-60°F. Occasional rain or clouds may occur, so we recommend bringing a light jacket and checking the forecast as the date approaches.
How do I get to and from the wedding venue?
For guests staying at the Courtyard Cottonwood Heights: a complimentary shuttle will depart from the main lobby beginning at 4 PM, with return service available throughout the night. The last shuttle departs at 12 AM for those attending the after-party.
For locals or guests not staying at the hotel: Uber/Lyfts are typically available throughout Salt Lake City, and valet service will be offered for those driving themselves.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony? What's the agenda for the rest of the evening?
The wedding ceremony will begin at 4:30 sharp, so please arrive between 4:00-4:15 to settle in. Our ceremony will take place on the vineyard lawn, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Afterward, enjoy an enchanting outdoor cocktail hour before we move indoors to La Caille's beautiful atrium for dinner and dancing. The reception will wrap up around 9:45, but for those wanting to keep the celebration going, an electric afterparty awaits!
Can I bring my kids?
Due to capacity restrictions, we’re only able to invite children from our families. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you use this as an opportunity to enjoy a special date night out!
How do I RSVP? When are RSVPs due?
Please see the "RSVP" tab of this website! We kindly ask all RSVPs are submitted by April 15th, 2025.
What if I have a dietary requirement?
If you have any dietary requirements, please indicate them in the RSVP section under "Dietary Restrictions." We will do our best to accommodate your needs and ensure you have a wonderful dining experience at our celebration.
Can I take photos?
The couple is kindly requesting an "unplugged ceremony." They've hired an excellent photographer & videographer to capture their union so guests can be fully present during this special moment. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!
What should I wear?
The dress code is "Garden Formal," a black-tie optional style perfect for a combined outdoor and indoor event. Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, so we recommend comfortable shoes for grass and cobblestone (ladies, best to avoid stilettos!). If you run cold, a light jacket is also a good idea. Guests are welcome to embrace our wedding colors (Light French Blue, Garden Greenery), but this is by no means required!
